Until November 17th 2019 we worshipped in a building in the centre of Isleham village which had its 200th birthday seven years ago; parking in the area was limited and internal space restricted our activities. Our vision was not just to solve these problems, but to build a new church centre to accommodate future generations.
Our previous building was dated but it provided the facilities which met our needs through that 200 plus years. As society and requirements have changed and developed, our building was no longer able to meet all of our needs today.
Our vision was to have a Christian centre which would provide an attractive social meeting place, just like other community venues provide; a place where people would want to meet together.
Fundamentally we are a church and part of the expression of our life together was to have a place of worship and dignity, where we could embrace traditional values in a changing world in a relevant way.
